Confidentiality of registered job seekers identity
One of skill-link.org’s main concerns is to protect the identity of its registered job seekers (ie. Name, address and name of employers they work with). Skill-link.org takes every feasible measure to ensure an individual cannot be recognized (by employers, colleagues, friends…) through the posted resume.
This is achieved by undertaking the following:
- Allowing subscribing corporate recruiters to only search and view ‘blind’ resumes. A blind resume does not show a job seeker’s name, address, telephone or email; additionally it does not state the current or previous employers names. Instead, the ‘blind’ resume describes employers in generic terms (eg. large private sector construction company, medium sized joint venture commercial bank, well established leading home appliances trading company etc..)
- When a corporate recruiter is interested in a particular ‘blind’ resume; he /she would send a message to the ‘unidentified’ job seeker, exploring his interest in pursuing employment discussions.
- If the job seeker in question agrees to proceed (he would have access to the employer name and description) he/she can approve electronically a positive response to the interested employer where - for the first time and only then - the job seeker identity and his/her employer(s) corporate name(s) will be revealed.
